caramel apple bar

Today's food bar is a caramel apple bar!  This would be great for a kids' birthday party or a fun get-together.  Caramel apples make me think of the fall but we enjoy them any time of the year!  This post makes me want to run over to Whole Foods right now in fact, to grab one! For your caramel apple bar, you would need Granny Smith apples, sticks, a good recipe for caramel and toppings (the possibilities are endless!).  Oh, and maybe some pretty cupcake liners to hold the apples?

Did you know the Disneyland Fourth of July caramel/white chocolate apples had pop rocks on them to resemble/feel like firecrackers? Lol. However, they looked kind of gross. Anyway, a favorite fondue of mine that I haven't done in a few years in a caramel fondue. Perfect for dipping a variety of different colored apples, whole walnuts, pound cake, marshmellows and even chocolate!

By the way, nice to see your blog title now has a personal touch. Love it! Now all you need is some way for us to search your posts or see them all listed to the side or something.... driving me crazy. :P

Thanks, it took me a while to decide which font to use. Of course. lol

Done! Search mechanism added! Let me know if it works.

Wow, talk about DL caramel apple overload! And I thought their Mickey trousers one dipped in caramel, chocolate and various sugars (I don't even remember the exact ingredients) was over the top! I actually do really like their caramel and caramel/chocolate apples.

Mmmm! Why don't you do a guest post with your caramel fondue?? The sound of that has me yearning for a cool evening in the fall.

Search function works great! Thanks.

I've actually never had a caramel apple from Disneyland. I used to always get the freshly dipped ones in Magic Mt. Everyone on Mousewait says to try the "Apple Pie Apples." Maybe on Monday....

I will have to come up with an excuse to have people over for fondue. Sadly some of our friends are moving away this week and many others are out of town or insanely busy. I'll let you know when we get around to it. :)

I think I've tried the Apple Pie Apple. If I remember correctly, it's very good!

Maybe you could do just a little bowl of fondue as a special afternoon snack or dessert?

Michelle and Avery, you are just awesome! You made me want to have one of the starcicles because they are beautiful as well as appetizing, what fun! Michelle the artwork groupings are just amazing. They are feast for the eyes! :)
