avery's valentines

This year, Avery was old enough to make her own valentines.  We started our project a couple of weeks ago, inspired by this blog post.  Avery had a fun time scribbling on different shades of red and pink paper, then I cut out hearts using this Marvy craft punch, printed a little message and pasted some patterned wrapping paper on the back.  Each valentine went into a glassine envelope with some bits of beautiful hand-pulled candy from Papabubble in NY.  The last step was sealing each envelope with washi tape.

It was such a fun process!  Thanks to lovelydesign for your inspiration.

heart-shaped recycled crayons

I've been busy the last couple of weeks making things for Avery's upcoming birthday and Valentine's Day!  Here are some heart-shaped crayons that I made to pass out for Avery's second birthday.  I can't believe my baby is almost two!  Here is a link to the how-to.  I made different shapes for Christmas presents in December and will post a few photos of those in the near future.

divine twine

This is a gift for a friend's new baby girl that I wrapped using Cotton Candy Divine Twine and Paper Source's Blossom Dots wrapping paper.  Can't wait until she opens it!

homemade play dough with natural dyes

A how-to on using fruit and other natural sources to dye homemade play dough on Mini eco via Ohdeedoh.  This is officially on our to-do list for the summer!  These colors are some of the best I've seen on play dough.

spring flowers

Here are some more flowers (with butterflies this time!) I made for a friend's baby shower in the spring using Paper Source's Magnolia Paper Flower Kit and Butterfly Kit.  Wouldn't it be lovely to fill a pitcher with just butterflies?
